We are opening a Call for Digital Navigators, who will play a central role in bridging the digital divide for vulnerable adults. The Call is part of the SMART DEMOCRACY project!
Responsibilities throughout the project lifecycle include the following:
Training and Skill Development
- Intensive Learning: Participating in a five-day intensive training course in Romania – October 2026 focused on Artificial Intelligence (AI), media literacy, and the use of digital educational platforms.
- Content Creation: Developing innovative educational resources, including lessons and teaching materials, using AI tools for the project’s Digital Education Hub.
- Methodological Mastery: Learning to use interactive techniques, such as debate simulations and “Fake News Escape Rooms,” to teach critical thinking and fact-checking.
Implementation and Mentoring
- Direct Instruction: Organizing and delivering training sessions for at least 200 vulnerable adults (Media Detectives), teaching them to navigate the digital environment safely and identify disinformation.
- Individual Mentoring: Providing personalized support and guidance to learners to facilitate their social and digital inclusion.
- Testing Intellectual Outputs: Leading the testing phase of the project’s resources—such as the curriculum and Methodological Guide—by applying them in real training contexts with vulnerable groups.
Multiplier and Civic Roles
- Knowledge Multiplication: Acting as “multipliers” by disseminating project results and training other staff within their organizations.
- Civic Advocacy: Promoting democratic values, digital rights, and active civic participation within their local communities.
- Collaborative Networking: Staying connected through an online community to share best practices and materials with other navigators across the five partner countries.
