We invite you to join as on 20th March (not 21st!) at 7 p.m. (Bracka 18/63 street, Warsaw)
Date: 20.03.2019, 5 p.m – 8 p.m.
Place: office of Foundation for Somalia (Bracka 18/63 street, 00-028 Warsaw)
This meeting will be run by our intercultural assitants – Elmira from Kyrgyzstan, Uma from Tajikistan and Zubair from Afghanistan. They will invite us to the world of Navruz and its traditions. They will present haft-sin, a table with seven symbolical items, that are supposed to bring us luck in the new year. In the ancient times it was believed that sky, earth and planets have seven levels and seven planets were known at that time (Venus, Jupiter, Mercury, Saturn, Mars, Earth and Sun). Elmira and Uma will prepare for us traditional food – plow, a dish made from rice and meat. There will be also other suprises, such as a competition with rewards, but we can not say anything more about them – you have to come and see!
This meeting is free of charge for everyone. See you soon!
