The screening of “Migrants” (orig. title in Polish”Migranci”) series with episode called “Elmi” on 7th of February at the Centrum Wielokulturowe w Warszawie brought together a large and diverse audience, including many people with migrant backgrounds. It was an evening full of emotions and deep reflections – Elmi Abdi’s Elmi Abdi incredible story deeply moved everyone present. His journey, filled with hardships and resilience, became an inspiration and a powerful reminder that, despite life’s challenges, it is possible to rebuild, thrive, and help others.
After the screening, we had an engaging discussion with Elmi himself and director Bartosz Wróblewski. The audience warmly welcomed Elmi, expressing their gratitude for his work and dedication to helping others. This event once again proved the significance of such initiatives – they foster understanding, empathy, and a more inclusive society.
