City Hall of Warsaw grant: Increasing the availability of specialist assistance for people and families with migration experience affected by domestic violence

The project “Zwiększenie dostępności do oferty pomocy specjalistycznej dla osób i rodzin z doświadczeniem migracji dotkniętych przemocą domową”(“Increasing the availability of specialist assistance for individuals and families with migration experience affected by domestic violence”) is being implemented from December 2023 to the end of November 2024 and is financed from the funds of the City Hall of Warsaw.

The aim of the project is to increase the availability and diversity of the offer of integration and specialist assistance adequate to the needs of people with international migration experience living in Warsaw and affected by domestic violence. The result of the project will be increased motivation and skills to end the experienced violence and to cope constructively in life by improving access to information and mechanisms to support the family system.

As part of the project, we will continue the specialist component of the consultation point for culturally and linguistically diverse residents of Warsaw – people with migration experience. We will carry out, among others, the following activities:

  • 15 hours per month of legal counseling,
  • 20 hours per month of psychological counseling,
  • 160 hours per month of integration counseling,
  • 30 hours per month of support from a specialist in counteracting violence.
