Project entitled “Comprehensive program for supporting migrant women at risk of Gender-Based Violence and GBV survivors from Ukraine to access GBV prevention and response services and support economic inclusion” financed by HlAS.
Implementation period: January 1 – December 31, 2023
The program assumes support for people experiencing gender-based violence and professional activation. Services available at the center will include the following elements:
- Providing information on available services and referrals: Social workers will be trained to provide such information enabling Ukrainian women and girls to access existing government and non-governmental services;
- Information activities – sharing information on available services at the center, but also providing services at social protection offices (OPS), accommodation centers, other consultation/information points, shelters and other places where services are needed;
- Provision of psychosocial counselling and GBV case management services by trained GBV workers and psychologists;
- Provision of group activities: recreational activities – which may include: cultural events, art therapy, sports activities, awareness raising activities – which will cover various topics, i.e. topics related to GBV, law and mental health;
- Leisure activities for children as separate activities and as childcare services provided during activities attended by mothers.
The total number of services provided by the Centre in 2023 is over 9,620:
46% are services provided by integration counsellors, including those trained in PFA,
25% are services related to job branding: career counsellor, job placement support, business and entrepreneurship consultations and services,
19% are services by psychologists for women and children, 17% are services directly related to GBV,
3% are services provided by lawyers.
